MARCH 2008 BANKING CODES – TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS EXPIRE

The transitional arrangements expired on 1st of July. For reference purposes details remain avaliable on request.

CHANGES TO BANKING CODE RULES 5.4

In order to extend the ‘gateway’ for the BCSB to provide information to the FSA, so that it covers all the areas of overlap between the BCSB and the FSA identified in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 17 June 2008, an amendment to Banking Code Rule 5.4 has been agreed, to take effect on 15 July 2008. The revised wording is available through the link below. The text of the Rules on this website will be amended when the changes have become effective.

MOU SIGNED WITH THE FSA

The BCSB entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Financial Services Authority on the 17th June 2008.

The MOU provides the framework for co-operation and communication between the two bodies in carrying out their respective responsibilities in relation to deposit taking products that are covered under the Banking Codes.
