A Credit Reference Agency, Call Credit provides information to individuals, lenders and other organisations which enable them to establish an individual's credit history.

CIFAS

If your address has been misused by a fraudster, the CIFAS warning is designed to protect you. CIFAS is a not for profit membership association established by major UK lenders solely dedicated to the prevention of financial crime.

Citizens Advice Bureaux

A registered charity, The Citizens Advice Bureaux offers a free service to help people resolve their legal, money and other problems.

Consumer Direct

Consumer Direct is a telephone and online consumer advice service, supported by the Office of Fair Trading, providing advice to help resolve problems and disagreements you may be having with suppliers of goods or services.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML)

The Council of Mortgage Lenders is the trade association for the mortgage lending industry and provides a range of general consumer information including downloadable guides on home buying and selling, equity release products, buy to let products and mortgage payment protection insurance.

Credit Action

Credit Action is a national money education charity, helping people manage their money better.

Credit Consumer Counselling Service (CCCS)

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is a registered charity whose purpose is to assist people who are in financial difficulty by providing free, independent, impartial and realistic advice.

Disability Rights Commission

An independent body established in April 2000 by Act of Parliament to stop discrimination and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people.

Equifax

A Credit Reference Agency, Equifax provides accurate and up-to-date information about people applying for credit to the applicant and organisations such as banks, building societies, mortgage companies, retailers and mobile phone providers.

Experian

A Credit Reference Agency, Experian provides consumers, businesses and the public sector with information and analysis to help them make important decisions.

Finance & Leasing Association (FLA)

The FLA is the principal representative of the asset, consumer and motor finance sector in the UK. FLA’s mission is to advance the interests of its members and their customers by promoting an open, competitive and fairly regulated market place.

Financial Ombudsman Service

Offer a free service to consumers to help settle individual disputes between consumers and financial firms where following the firms complaints process has proved unsatisfactory.

An independent body that regulates the financial services industry in the UK.

Information Commissioner’s Office

The Information Commissioner's Office is the UK's independent public body set up to promote access to official information and to protect personal information.

The Legal Services Commission

The Legal Services Commission We look after legal aid in England and Wales. They help ensure that people get the information, advice and legal help they need to deal with a wide range of everyday problems.

Money Advice Trust

Money advice offers a structured approach to managing severe personal debt. Advisers are trained to assess the situation, offer reassurance, maximise their clients' income if possible and negotiate with creditors on their behalf.

Money Basics

Offers Simple, clear independent information regarding money. They have facts, case studies and useful contacts to help the consumer make good financial decisions.

National Consumer Council (NCC)

The NCC carry out research to find the consumer issues of the future and where change is needed. They also develop policy solutions and campaign and work with providers of goods and services to ensure that these policy solutions work.

National Debtline

National Debtline is a national telephone helpline for people with debt problems in England, Wales and Scotland. Their service is free, confidential and independent.

Office of Fair Trading (OFT)

The OFT's goal is to make markets work well for consumers. Markets work well when there is vigorous competition between fair-dealing businesses. The OFT's activities in pursuit of this goal involve enforcement, market studies and
Communication.

Office of the Public Guardian

Provides resources for anyone who has questions about managing the finances of someone who is mentally incapacitated

Public Guardianship Office - PGO (England & Wales)

The PGO provides financial protection services for clients who are not able to manage their financial affairs because of mental incapacity.
